This policy explains how Nick Warn Consulting ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit nickwarnconsulting.com or contact us through this website.

We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, but you can contact us directly with any data protection queries using the email above.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

We only collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry, and any message content you include.
  • Book interest form: your name and email address if you register interest in our publication.
  • Booking/payments: if you book a service, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe may collect your name, email, and billing information directly.

We do not currently use analytics tools or tracking cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.

3. How and Why We Use Your Data

We use a clear link between each type of data we hold, why we use it, and our lawful basis under UK GDPR Article 6 :

4. Who We Share Your Data With

  • Netlify Inc. (USA) — our website hosting platform, which receives and stores contact form submissions. Netlify operates under a Data Processing Agreement and uses Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. See Netlify's GDPR information.
  • Stripe Inc. (USA) — payment processing for service bookings. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your data with any other third parties unless required to do so by law.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Contact and book interest enquiries: we retain these for up to 12 months from the date of your enquiry, or until the matter is resolved, whichever is sooner.
  • Booking/payment records: retained for 7 years in accordance with UK financial record-keeping obligations.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data :

  • Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal obligations).
  • Right to restriction — ask us to pause processing of your data.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
